Jury
The Foundation Board appoints the jury on a yearly base. The jury consists of at least three members who cannot nominate candidates themselves. The jury selects the most suitable candidate, if the level of research of all the candidates does not meet the intended level, the jury will advise the Board Foundation to refrain from the Award. The names of the members of the jury will not be communicated before publication of the winner.

Candidates
The award is intended for students PhD's and researchers of universities and public research institutes in the Netherlands. They should have conducted their research mainly in the Netherlands. An additional requirement is that the candidates should not be older than 32 on January 1 of the year of the ceremony.
